Tieghan Gerard's Salty Pretzel Banana Pudding Ice Cream Cake
Like a cross between banana pudding and a banana sundae with a splash of honey-toasted salted pretzels and vanilla wafers. This ice cream cake is absolutely delicious!!
I am the biggest fan of ALL things banana! As a matter of fact, one of my favorite meals of all time is a peanut butter, banana sandwich with a little drizzle of honey. Toast the bread for just a couple minutes before, and you've got yourself a delectable lunch for just pennies.
Then there's banana pancakes, a banana split, bananas foster....I could keep going. The list of some of my favorite banana recipes is quite large, and then I made this ice cream cake. Y'all! There are no words for me to describe how good this is, so I honestly think you just need to make it for yourself and try it too. I am positive you will LOVE it!
The details:
If you don't already know, Tieghan Gerard is one of my favorite food bloggers. She frequently shares recipes that are out of this world delicious, and this Salty Pretzel Banana Pudding Ice Cream Cake is just one of the many that fit that description. Salty pretzels and Vanilla wafer cookies mixed and toasted with butter and a little honey, then chilled and layered with vanilla ice cream plus, banana slices, homemade honey-vanilla whipped cream and a few more honey toasted cookie crumbs--need I say more?!
Tieghan's photography is nearly as phenomenal as her recipes...take a look and see! Plus, this recipe is VERY easy to make and doesn't take much effort at all, so grab the recipe below and prepare yourself for a super yummy spring dessert!
Here's what you'll need:
The crust is first baked in a springform pan. The springform pan is also what allows this cake to hold its shape as you're adding all the layers of banana-flavored deliciousness. This set is my favorite!
You'll also need some parchment paper to line the bottom of your springform pan. This makes transferring the cake super simple once it's finished.
